2009 is the year of the Ox! This year, the Chinese New Years Parade in Vancouver was held on Sunday, February 1st. The Parade started at the Millennium Gates on Pender Street and wound its way through Chinatown. There were over 2500 participants in the parade and the streets were jammed with people out to see this colourful event. And this despite it being a miserable, cold, rainy (and sometimes snowy) day! All in all it was a colourful day of street photography with lots of good energy!
